  • Superpower Wheel: Made of cardboard or wood, divided into colorful sections, each representing a superpower
  • Moving Pointer: A spinner attached to the center of the wheel

Preparation

Creating the Superpower Wheel: Prepare a colorful wheel with multiple sections, where each section represents one superpower. Each superpower should have its own color or symbol to help children recognize the traits.

Moving Pointer: Attach a movable pointer to the center of the wheel that children can spin to randomly select a superpower.

Implementation

Kira and Miro introduce the activity by showing the "Superpower Wheel" and saying, "Did you know we all have superpowers? Let’s discover yours!" They explain that spinning the wheel will reveal a special strength that each child has or can practice.

Spinning and Recognizing Superpowers

Each child takes a turn spinning the wheel.

The teacher describes the selected superpower (e.g., "Courage means trying something new even if it feels a bit scary").

The child reflects on whether they recognize this strength in themselves and shares their thoughts with the group.

Using My Superpower

The teacher asks the child how they use the chosen superpower in daily life.

E.g., if the wheel lands on "Kindness," the child discusses how they are kind to friends or family.

Choosing a Superpower for the Day

Each child spins the wheel to select a superpower to focus on for the day.

At the end of the day, children reflect: "When did I use my superpower today? What was easy or difficult?"

Superpower Storytelling

Children spin the wheel to choose one or more superpowers for creating a story.

They imagine a situation where the superpowers help solve a problem and present their story through drawing, role-play, or narration.

Reflection

At the end of the week, gather children to discuss:

  • What did we learn about our superpowers?
  • Which superpower do you like using the most, and why?

Kira and Miro encourage them to keep practicing their strengths every day.

Variations and Additional Ideas

Personal Superpower Wheel

Each child creates a mini version of the wheel featuring their favorite superpowers. They use it daily for reflection.

Group Superpower Analysis

Divide children into groups. Each group spins the wheel and discusses how they can apply the superpower in different situations (e.g., courage in sports, patience with friends).

Superpower Journals

Encourage children to draw or write about times they used their superpowers throughout the week.
