Prepare the Superpower Bag: Create a bag or box (e.g., a simple cloth bag or decorated box) that symbolizes the "Superpower Bag." Fill it with small cards or tokens, each labeled with a superpower (e.g., "patience," "kindness"). Decorate Materials: Use colorful markers or stickers to make the bags and tokens visually appealing to children.
Kira and Miro introduce the "Superpower Bag" by saying, "Inside this bag are powers that can help us become our best selves! Let's see which superpower you’d like to strengthen this week!"
At the beginning of the week, each child selects a superpower from the bag they want to work on (e.g., "patience").
With the teacher’s help, the child sets a simple goal related to that superpower, such as "I will wait my turn during games this week."
Throughout the week, children track their progress. Each time they demonstrate their chosen superpower, they collect a token (e.g., a stone) as proof of their effort.
Tokens are placed into their personal Superpower Bag to symbolize their achievements.
At the end of the week, children review their achievements with the teacher’s guidance.
During a group discussion, they share when they successfully used their superpower, when it was challenging, and what they learned about themselves.
Each child adds a new card or token with their chosen superpower to their personal Superpower Bag. Over time, this collection becomes a visual representation of their progress and growth.
Kira asks the group, "How did it feel to use your superpower this week? Was there a moment you were really proud of?"
Miro adds, "What would you like to try next week? Maybe another superpower?"
Kira concludes, “Every superpower you practice makes you stronger and helps others too! Let’s keep growing together!”
Each day, one child selects a superpower for the entire group to focus on. At the end of the day, the group discusses how they applied it and how it felt.
A single bag for the group, focusing on one superpower for the week (e.g., "kindness" or "teamwork"). The group collectively tracks progress during activities and interactions.
At the end of the day or week, children select a card from the bag and self-evaluate how well they demonstrated the superpower. They can use symbols (e.g., a smiley face) or colors to reflect their success and think about ways to improve.
